I found out very early on that I was pregnant. My period was due Oct 8th but just thought I was a little off with my last date so didn’t think much of it at the time,  it was Lee who kept asking me if I was or could be pregnant.

Think I was in denial and didn’t want to do a test – but gave in and eventually did one but it was negative, but I was still late so left it another few days – 15th Oct I did another test and it showed indeed I was pregnant.

2 more tests later – still in denial you see – it was still the same.

I was just 5 weeks gone at the time.

I was scared and think Lee was just as much but now as the weeks have gone on we are getting more used to idea of having a little ‘un to look after and now we cant wait =)

Timeline:

8th Oct 2008 – Period Due

10th Oct 2008 – 1st test negative – sigh of relive

15th Oct 2008 – 2nd test uh oh its Positive….. *insert panic here*

10th Nov 2008 – Midwife appointment – according to her im 9wks. Bloods taken info given.

3rd Dec 2008 – First  scan – I am officially 11wk 1 day now so a week behind than we thought. Blood results back everything clear – high plateltts so more blood taken.

14th Jan 2009 – Midwife appointment bloods taken for Downs and Spina bifida – platelet results normal. Got to hear little ones heartbeat and can now feel it move
