When I got the opportunity to review this I jumped at the chance. I am a huge tea lover and drink green tea on a regular basis as it is.

When I was given the chance to review Kiss Me Organics Culinary Grade Green Tea I jumped at the chance. I am a huge tea lover and drink green tea on regular basis.

A little about Matcha: Matcha is a fine-ground, powdered, high-quality green tea and the Japanese tea ceremony centres on the preparation, serving, and drinking of matcha. (wiki)

When I received it in the post I was surprised to learn that I could use the powder for lattes, smoothies and even baking! Instead of being super adventurous right now I decided to just make a nice cup of green tea.

My Review

When I received this I was impressed with the eye catching packaging and the fact that is also resealable. It also came with information on how to get extra recipes to try out. One thing I noticed was the lack of expiry date.

I decided to try it as a tea since I am a avid tea drinker and LOVE green tea. I did find the taste to be a little bland and it did not taste like green tea at all- instead it had a undercurrent of fish or the ocean. That did put me off a little but once I got used to it I actually quite enjoyed the tea.

I also tend to drink my green tea cold and with the tea bag still in (yes I use tea bag green tea usually) but I found I needed to drink this hot – not that, that bothered me it was nice.

I am keen to try it in baking as think it would taste better that way rather than straight up tea.

3.5 stars.
