This weeks theme is LIKES AND DISLIKES OF BLOGGING

I have been blogging a long time and so much has changed over that period of time, and there are things I have come to love and hate at the same time πŸ™‚

like1. Writing – I find blogging therapeutic, it’s a great way to let off steam, and get stuff off your chest if you want. I like that I can be honest and not hold back.

like2. Community – I love finding new blogs, and building up friendships though over the years it’s gotten harder (see no 6) and the amazing people out there that blog

like3.interaction
I love how you can comment and connect with other blogs, and love it even more when people do the same on my blog.

dislike4. Cliques – over the years I have noticed that the blogging world has developed itself into cliques, whilst some are good others can be the usual bitchy aint-no-body-got-time-for cliques.

dislike5. Whoring. – gone are the days you did a post and just left it, now you have whore out your stuff to social media as soon as you hit publish πŸ™ it’s time consuming and hard work.

diskike 6. Niche
I have nothing against people who niche blog – it’s the fact that people expect you have a niche in order to be successful. Maybe that will always be my downfall, but I blog for me with the occasional sponsor posts to make some money but I am not looking to become niche enough to make a living.

Like 7. Freedom
I love how I can blog anywhere I want, when I want. Though I wish the wp app was a bit better.

dislike8. Branding
With regards to starting a new site and securing the name across the social media platforms.

Dislike 9. Time consuming
Blogging whilst fun, can be time consuming as well.

10. Addictive
After 17 years blogging i have yet to lose interest, I may have blogging lulls every now and then but I always come back.
