We are in the process of sorting out our stuff at the moment for baby number 3 pending arrival, and in doing so we have decided to empty our loft to firstly see what had just been put up there since we moved in 5 years ago and also to see what we could get rid off and possibly sell.

We have 4 tote boxes ( the big ass liter kind) filled with DVDs! 4 boxes! Granted most of the DVDs we watch are in a huge CD wallet next to the TV, but these ones in the boxes are mostly doubles from when we combined our collection all those years ago and numerous box sets like Friends, The Simpsons and Sex and the City – which don’t get watched all that often.

I am in a bit of a pickle as to what to do with the doubles. I am tempted to sell them but when I think about how much money I have spent on them over the years I don’t want to let them go lol but then again the prospect of getting some money for them is getting more appealing the more I think about it, and the extra cash would come in handy fore sure.

There really is no point in having 2 of the same DVDs, and I am not all that keen on putting them on the cloud just yet – and my family won’t like the kind of movies they are so selling them might just have to be route we take with them.

Plus it will free up some boxes and space in the loft for other things to go in.

Pretty much all my CD’s are gone and are digital now, and we do tend to use instant streaming on the PlayStation a lot more these days or rent movies that we want from LoveFilm. So really in a way it makes perfect sense to store them on the cloud and sell them off.

I guess its just making the initial move and decide to sell them off.

Do you have a big DVD collection? Would you consider selling them to make space in your home and making money in the process?
