As someone who is not in the least bit artistic, I did love Art in high school and came home with a nice wee portfolio at the end of my school year.

Granted it wasn’t nothing fancy, like I would imagine you would have to have when going up for an evaluation to get into an art school, but it was a portfolio none the less. In  fact I still have some of my drawings I did over at my mums house.

Now whilst I may not know how to create a portfolio for an art school, I do have a lot of arty friends who have told me that they get so nervous when applying for school or for new jobs that require their work to be scrutinized by a board of people to see if they are worthy of starting the course or job.

They generally carry  around with with a portfolio case big enough to hold their work, which usually consists of no more than 20 pieces! Most of them still prefer the old fashioned way of doing it, but for someone like myself I would probably enlist the help of an online company to help me make a nice simple portfolio, that would be worthy of an evaluation.

Are you arty? Do you have a portfolio?

  1. I am not artsy the way a lot of people would classify it. I do want to be and as soon as I can get a better camera I am going to work on my picture taking skills.
