Flake out….

I have had the mother of all days with Jack today – but because he is only 3 years old and I don’t work full time I have to just deal with it.

Why is that every man’s answer – just deal with it? Clearly I can’t deal with it, as I just had a total flake out tonight when he did eventually get home from work. He isn’t in the door not even 5min and he is straight on the computer ignoring me and Jack for that matter (who I just want to get away from for 5 min but I am not allowed to) as he has work to do which is pretty much the same scenario every night – and then I get told of as Jack isn’t in bed !!

I am the one who puts him to bed EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, yet I am getting grief from he who never puts his son to bed as he is always working —- I don’t fucking think so mate!

To say I am pissed off is a bit of an understatement, and I haven’t had a flake out like this since I had to come off my PND tablets back in February.

Jack has basically been throwing tantrums left, right and centre over nothing and generally just ignoring anything I say to him or out right refusing to do things when I ask, and basically winding me up all day.

And I just couldn’t handle it today – I wasn’t feeling great – dizzy and nauseous all day – so that didnt help matters either. I just can’t help but let days like today get to me – its easy for someone to say don’t let it get to you.

But then he is only 3 years old so I just need to deal with it right?

Right?……

Tomorrow is another day, and he is back to nursery on Monday (thank god!) – I haven’t had such a terrible day out of him for months, but today is right up there with the other bad ones.

How do you not allow your child tantrums or bad behavior get to you?

Any ideas or tips welcome!
