Old school gaming

We are in the middle of doing a huge clear out right now to make way for baby number two and we found our old gaming consoles. I actually cant believe the amount of consoles we actually have – mainly they are all Lee’s as I only had a PS2 and DS when I met him.

But we found his old Game boy Advance with golden oldie games 🙂 Mario, Echo the Dolphin and Tetris to name a few. It had a wee bit of charge in it so we let the Jackster have a wee play of Mario and he loved it!

I used to be a huge tetris fan when I had my Gameboy and havent played it in years, so it got me wondering if you could play it online, as sadly we have lost the charger for the gameboy and cant charge it up =(

Thanks to tetrisk you can! It was great playing the old school games on the consoles and I think we will try get a charger from eBay so Jack can play the old games, whilst I am quite happy to play to play free tetris  online -granted its not the same as playing it on the gameboy but then you can’t really play 3d tetris on it can you? And as far as I am aware the 3DS doesnt have 3d tetris 🙂

I think its a shame that Jack is growing up in a time where he will look back on the games that Lee and myself used to play and not “get” them, or comment on the “crap” graphics. But for me tetris will forever be classed as a retro game for me 🙂 I can actually hear the tune in my head right now as I am typing this post…. oh boy it used to annoy my mum and dad when we were out and about in the car!
