[Guest Post] Grandma’s Jello Salad

This is a guest post from the lovely Jessica Anne – who is now also my hostee 🙂 I have to say this recipe sounds great and I must give it a try sometime. You can read Jessica’s blog here

Throughout my life, My Grandma has made her Jello Salad for any occasion except birthdays.. Thanksgivings were always expected to have it and when we went back east to Pennsylvania she made it for my Cousin Joey’s Graduation Party.. I even made it for a College Class Party and it was a huge hit.. So I give you the recipe for my Grandma’s Jello Salad..

3 Packages of Jello – Any Color of your choosing for the top & bottom
1 Can of Crushed Pineapple (Drained)
1 Package of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1/2 Cup Miniature Marshmallows
1/4 Cup Mayonnaise
1 Cup Cool Whip
3 Cups Boiling Water
1 1/2 Cups Cold Water

Dissolve Jello Separately. Using 1 cup boiling water for each

Stir in Marshmallows & Cream Cheese & 1 Package of Lemon Jello and set aside.

Add: 3/4 Cup Cold Water to 1st Color of Choice Jello and put into the Refrigerator to set.

Add: 3/4 Cup Cold Water to 2nd Color of Choice Jello – Set aside at Room Temperature

Add: Mayonnaise – Drained Pineapple & Cool Whip to Lemon Jello – Chill until slightly thickened.

Pour over 1st Jello of Choice – Chill until set

Pour over 2nd Jello of Choice over Chilled Lemon Jello.

Chill until Firm & Cut into Squares.

It’s really good and I sometimes had 2 squares of it myself.. So I hope that you try it out and if you do.. Leave me a comment on here. :o)
