Back from Eden

I am just home for a lovely relaxing week at Center Parcs in Penrith.

Would love to say the weather was great and that Jack was good as gold but sady its a no on both accounts.

The weather was ok – it was raining but never for long and then it was dry so cant really complain, it didnt stop us going out that for sure.

This was my first trip to a Center Parcs Village and I wasnt entierly sure what it was going to be like.

When we arrived my phone went nuts and couldnt work out my time zone – then it said on my weather app we were in Eden…..

The villa we were all staying in was massive! I was impressed with it, considering the amount of people that must pass through this villa every week – I was expecting it to be a bit more grubbier than it was. Yeah it could be doing with a new lick of paint but otherwise it was clean and the bed was comfy so was happy with that.

We were about a 10min walk to the village center, it looked like it was going to be longer on the map for some reason…. And a lot of the activites that we had booked was just a stone throw from our villa.

Jack was booked into a few things but the timing was bad on them as they were right around his nap time – and no one messes with him when its nap time! That being said he was a grumpy bugger at all the things we booked apart from the messy play where he just sat in the tray of water and splashed everyone – happy as larry he was in that class.

The pool was amazing! We spent a good few hours in there on Wednesday – after a disasterous Teddy Bear Picnic with Jack. The munchkin loved the water and enjoyed going round on the rapids – laughing his wee head off.

On the Thursday us girls went off the Spa in the afternoon for 3 hours of relaxation.

And boy was it great!!!!!! Ah.. Never been so relaxed 🙂 Got introduced to the world of Elemis products and even treated myself to some Cleanser and Toner (which allowed me to get 5 minis free – not trial size but proper mini size!)

All in all we had a great week and it was great for Jack to see his wee cousin – granted he is only 6 months old – as we dont get to see everyone all that often.

So impressions of Center Parcs – Great place for kids, but mainly geared for older kids say 6+, the price is very expensive if I am honest but overall an wonderful place to stay.

A week isnt long enough to do enough activies but a a fortnight would cost way to much =/
