Reasons to be cheerful/5 Things That Make You Feel Good

The lovely Becky over at Lakes Single Mum tagged me this meme 🙂

What you cannot choose.  The Rules are Simple

We all know that blogging/facebook/twitter is in our arena of what we like to do, so I am going to rule them out as one of the 5 that you can post about. They really are not very girly. Likewise, phones, computers, ipads are all out of the running. I am challenging myself to this, as I am really not a girly girly type of person, and I want to find that within myself. It’s not all about power suits, filofaxes, ipads and designer phones.

If you want to pass this along, pick bloggers that you want to find out more about, and challenge them to write up their 5 secret passions that make them feel good. The idea is to lift our spirits this week. The fact that there is a linky added, just makes it all the more worthwhile in doing.

So believe it or not this actually took me a really really long time to come up with 5 things that make me happy – that is really bad isnt it? But I really just had a mental blank when I saw what the meme was about…..

1) My Son

JackI have had a turbulent relationship with Jack since he was born – developing PNd was not a great start our relationship. But I love him dearly and would be lost without him. Yes every mother has her moments when the kids do her head in – but all in all he is a wee gem ( usually)

2) Reading

I used to be and avid reader – usually going through books like most people have hot dinners, it was insane. Right now I have re-discovered reading by doing the 100 book challange this year. I love nothing more than having a hot bath or snuggling in bed with a hot cuppa and reading a good book.

3) Cherries

Yeah ok this is werid one I have to admit – but anyone who knows me is well aware of my obsession with cherries and if they were to buy my anything that is remotly linked to a cherry or cherries, they know I would be over the moon and love them forever. Silly things like wearing my cherry shoes brings a smile to my face – which baffels other people as they just dont get the whole cherry thing 🙂

4) Tea

Give me a cup of tea and I am happy 🙂

5) My family.

Without my son, partner and my mum I would not have been able to cope over the last year with my PND and becoming a mum – I am eternally greatful for all the support they have given me during that time, even though I was hard for them as it was for me.

Now I tag:

Jackie

Lisa

Dez

Nichole

30-something living in Scotland with her fiance Lee and 3 year old son Jack. Baby number 2 is due Dec 2012.
