Im back…

Been off work all week last week, and kind went AWOL from the blogging world, did tweet every now and then though =)

I have been loaded with the cold! And no its defo not swine flu – though how you tell the difference without acutally dying is a whole other story. Lee was off work Mon – Wed and we had every intention of painting the nursery – yeah you guessed it we still havent done it. I am shocked to say that we put it off in favour of playing Warcraft which now im hindsight was a bad idea as we have discovered we still have a shit load to do in our room and the wardrobes than we thought.

But being sick didnt excalty help the painting situation – Lee had the cold as well that went into his chest but at least he could take cough medicne to get him over it – I on the other hand just had to put up with the sore throat runny nose and annoying cough without the aid of drugs to help clear it – damn you Jack lol

So what have I been up to when I have been AWOL – well last sunday Lee had a gig in Edinburgh so went along for that it was a good night out. His dad came up as well as his mum and her partner. It was a very amicable affair so that was the main thing.  He was playing with an old band who had reformed for one night only for the old guitarist 30th birthday – it was a suprise for him that his girlfriend organised. Was good to hear them play again as I had forgtten who much I missed the set list they played. Little Jack was kicking like mad during the second set and went nuts when Lee did his drum solo =) So think that is a clear sign that he going to be drummer lol…. oh god! =D

Ohh my dad got another cat – we drove up to Peth on Friday and picked him up – hes a ginger tabby 2 to 3 year old and just adorale. Ok hes no Murph’ but he will certainly keep my dad company. He is over the moon to have a new kitty, hes a young cat so he;s going to keep my dad on his toes and hes a bit of a climber but think they will get on just fine =)

What else….

Oh yeah im 33 weeks now!

Now its getting scary!

I really have to say that I have enjoyed being pregnant – I have friends say to me that it suits me, and is very becoming of me – so maybe I will turn into a baby making machine lol NOT! lets get Jack out and settled first =) But I have to say and think I have said it before and sorry to repeating but I would do it again if its this easy all the time, but then again every pregnancy is different. But if the wrost I have is slight heartburn/acid reflux and a sore back then I would recommend it lol As i know at the end of the day its all going to worth it to hold the wee one on my arms.

Now labour is begining to scare me – the more the weeks get closer to my due date the more nervous I am becoming about actually giving birth.  I hear its a pain you pretty much forget instantly and to be honest I have a high pain threashold when it comes to certain things… so this will be a true test to my threashold.

Well I had better get ready to head off to my ante-natal class!

Oh went to see Star Trek on friday night – was actually suprised at how much I like it! And im not a trek fan in the slightest, and it was also a good wee night out for me and Lee first time we have been to the cinema in almost 2 years!

  1. That’s great that you are enjoying being pregnant. I think that is something that I will enjoy too. But I agree, the actual giving birth part would be scary. My best friend is pregnant with her fourth (gasp) baby. She said she isn’t looking forward to the birth part. I said “Isn’t it easier with each one?” and she said that it is but it still hurts. But I’m sure seeing the baby makes it okay in the end. I hope that your birth goes really easy and that you find some time to get the baby’s room ready in time!
