Birthday Bash

I have enjoyed a lovely weekend – well night – away with Lee and his family.

We went down to Kirk Of Yetholm to an amazing Bed  & Breakfast called Mill House (check out the website) and met up with is Mum, Mike and Grandad. We didnt need to leave until about 2pm so got a bit of long lie in and only took us an hour n half to get there.  We got there before his mum so we went and chilled in our room that had amazing view over the Pennine walk way and fields and stuff.

Once him mum etc arrived we went down to meet and greet in the lounge that had this great big roaring fire blazing away – was so nice and toasty =) his mum had come armed with presents, balloons and cake! Much to Lee’s dismay as he hates all that kinda thing – but he loved it secretly lol

I took some photos but again WP is playing silly buggers and not letting them show up – so they can found on my picassa album.

The B&B had a hot tub – which I am glad to say was cooler than how I have my baths so I was able to go in it. You are aparetnly not allowed to use them when you are pregnant as you arent allowed to let your temp or blood pressure rise to a great level so I was well chuffed at being able to get in it.

Me and Lee went in for about half an hour before dinner and I didnt want to get out – much as I was looking forward to dinner. I at least got to try out my cherry bikini I bought about 2 years ago so that was a plus as well =)

Went out for dinner at 7:45pm to this wee pub – and boy was it amazing!! Got field mushroom stuffed with haggis covered in a whisky sauce – which was amazing, and Lamb shank for main. Holy Moly this was a huge lamb!! I swear it was massive and it turns out that obviously it wasnt a spring lamb so therefore there was a fair amount of meat on it than usual. I am proud to say that I managed to devour it all apart from the skin and fatty bits that were yuck – I was the only one who managed to tackle the whole shank, everyone else got stuffed really quick and left a fair bit. My trick was not eat any veg or potatoes until I had eaten half the meat and it seemed to work out pretty well for me =)

So all in all we had a good night – we had a great breakfast this morning of pancakes with fresh fruit nice and healthy *yum* then we headed off home.

Spent the afternoon watching Harry Potter movies and chilling. I have the day off tomorrow so looking forward to a nice long lie in.

Wish we had a hot tub at home =( Maybe if we every win the lottery we can buy a house with a garden and build a wee sauna/hot tub room at the end of the garden.

A girl can dream! lol
