So relieved

Phew what a morning, first I almost slept in or rather wanted to then thought I wasnt going to be able to put a shoe on but managed to get my running trainers on – with just a slight rub on the heel.

Made it to Stirling Royal in plenty of time as the parking there is an absolute nightmare! Eventually got a space and had about 20mins to kill waiting for my appointment.

The consultant guy was really cool and down to earth and explained that my blood tests had shown that everything wasnt all right on the spina bifida side (we knew this already) and that he had a checklist of things to look for on my baby that if they were all ok and no anomoly were found he would tell us same would go for if he saw something that he shouldnt be seeing.

So down came my jeans (not fully I might add lol) and on went the jelly — brr it was cold. There was my baby – much bigger than last time and growing by the minute 🙂 Saw its little heart beating away like the clappers and got to see its head, brain, bones in all the limbs and most importantly the spine.

Oh god what a great relife to be told that everything he was looking at was A-OK and so far so good. He had to press real hard just above my pubic bone to get a better look at one part and now im really sore but in comparison to everything being ok I dont care how sore I am =)

We have come away with a really great picture and will try in vain to get this bloody thing to show it in a post.

Now Im going to get some lunch and then wait on mum coming over – I have my phisio this afternoon for ankel and want to see if i can drive – if not mum is going to drive me =)
