Xmas Rundown

Wed

Xmas Eve we head down to Newcastle left about 12noon and actually made it there in 3 hours which was pretty impressive as usually we get stuck in traffic at the Edinburgh Bypass and then lorries and tractors on the A1 – but all was clear and that was even with us stopping at McDonalds and the supermarket on they way!!

Get to Kate’s (Lee’s mum) stop there for a few hours then head over to his sisters.

Just basically sat and watched TV, chatted and drank some non-alcoholic wine (for me). Lee’s dad was there who fell asleep until about 10:30pm and he woke up when we were going to bed as we were shattered.

Thur – Xmas day

Actually had a long lie in – 9:30am!! Got shouted awake as Dawn (Lee’s sis)  wanted us to come down for breakfast and open our presents – she was like a big kid all excited and she had been awake since 6am and had all hers opened!

His Dad got us a camcorder!!! we were not expecting that – he wants to use it to take vidoes of the wee one 9but we have other plans – only joking 🙂 ) also got some tins of chocolates and a WofW game card each for me and Lee. We then got ready and headed over to Kate’s about lunch time.

More presents – dont want to list everything as got lots of bits n bobs, got another WofW gamegard some gift vouchers, perfume and the best was my new Canon digital Ixus 90 camera from Lee =) Its a super camera.

Had a great dinner as well – though me, Lee and Dawn all had upset stomachs later on but we put it down to his dad bacon sandwhich for breakfast… lol

The whole family descended at Kate’s about 7pm and it was mental – had a migraine as with 22 people in one room it was just a constant noise..

Fri – boxing day

We didnt do much – had a long lie again 🙂 though we were sleeping on the living room floor it was all good. I still had a bit of a dodgy stomach but we went out for a wee drive to Blyth Beach it was bloody cold!!!

Had left over turkey for dinner and then just chilled in front of the TV.

Sat

We headed home about 1pm. Had a good couple of days but nothing beats coming home to your own bed. It looked like a tornado had hit our living room by the time we dumped all our bags and presents on the floor, but I wasnt in the mood to do any tidying today so just left it.

So all in all had a good Xmas.
