I finally got round to doing some wedding stuff last night.

Got our save the date cards inserts all printed =) took me ages to get the layout but only manged to waste one sheet of paper before getting it spot on -so I guess what wasnt too bad.

We have about 50 save the date cards but dont think most of those will be going out as forgot about couples lol so probably only about 25 if that going. Going to have to buy a lot of stamps lol

Seems strange sending out those the now but the 1st August is the day the Edinburgh Festival and the Tattoo starts so its going to be virtually impossible for people to rooms in hotels so if they want to come to the wedding they really need to book rooms now!

will post a picture of them in a wee while after I have sent them out =)

Off to get dinner then post some more

  1. Me and my ‘friend’ whom I posted about yesterday hand made my save the dates (post card size) and had them laminated. That was alot of work.

Our invitations we created ourselves and I printed them out at work one night that I was there late by myself. SSSHHHHHHH :D:D:D I’m okay with it though because I was HIGHLY underpaid 😀

  2. When me and my ex-fiancée were engaged, I did the designs for everything – the save the date cards, the invitations, the thank you cards and our website. 🙂 I also planned on making all the centerpieces for the reception, the bouquets and the buttonaires. It’s just so much more fun and personal that way, I thought. 🙂 My fiancée thought I was crazy, but he was willing to indulge me, lol.

  3. Just came across this while surfing for Scotish blogs, and thought I’d leave my comment. I remember well the many prep steps of getting marries, and even something as inocuous as wedding invitations was an ordeal for us. Oh, the relief to finally be done with everything.
